SPRING FUNDRAISER 2026
Friday Harbour is excited to announce our annual Friday Harbour Golf Classic Spring Fundraiser 2026. The event will take place on Monday, April 20, 2026. Join us for a wonderful day of golf at the Hearthstone Country Club in Houston, TX.
Friday Harbour eases the burden of the cancer journey by providing free temporary lodging to patients and families visiting the Texas Medical Center. Read more at www.FridayHarbour.org.
For our 15th Anniversary, we have announced a campaign theme, “A Year of Movement”. The Golf Classic is one of our two major activations for spring 2026 we are using to expand our impact to Healing Cancer One Night at a Time.
Our other spring event held in May, Charity Field Day – An EVENT SO EPIC, it will take 30 Charities to Pull Off – is a family-friendly gathering that brings together community, uniting nonprofits and businesses from across the city through play, wellness, and volunteerism.
Our impact:
- $1,000,000+ out-of-pocket hotel expenses saved by patients and caregivers
- 5,800+ nights of free lodging provided for patients and caregivers
- 2,200+ patients focused on healing rather than hotel bills
- 90% of patients say Friday Harbour has relieved a financial burden
- 52% of patients say without Friday Harbour, they would have been unable to obtain
- cancer treatment, delayed cancer treatment, or sought treatment elsewhere
- 20%+ patients are Black or African American
- 58% of patients are female
